Welcome to the United States!!!

The United States offers a wonderful combination of tourist destinations, from large cities to small towns, from forests to deserts, among many others. On the following pages you will find a collection of some of the most beautiful destinations in this country. 

When to Go/Climate: United States is located in North America, its climate ranges from sub-tropical to arctic, but most of its states have four distinctive seasons, with a cold winter, mild fall and spring, and a hot summer. Any time is a good time to visit the United States.

Get in: the United States has several international airports. Some of the biggest ones are NYC (JFK and EWR), Chicago (ORD), Philadelphia (PHL), Boston (BOS), Washington DC (IAD and DCA), Miami (MIA), Seattle (SEA), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX) and Portland (PDX).

Get around: The most convenient way of moving around for big distances is the plane. For shorter distances the car is recommended.

Money and Costs: The official currency is the American Dollar. Credit cards are widely accepted. A service tip of 15-20% is expected in restaurants.

Length of stay: the United States is such a big country that one needs to visit it several times. It is impossible to see everything on a single trip.

Languages/People: more than 300 million people live in the United States. The country has no official language, but the de facto national language is English. Hundreds of languages are spoken in this big and diverse country.

Food: The local cuisine is as varied as its population. Apart from American barbeques and Fast food, in the USA you will find Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Middle East food, among many others.

 

New York City

The City of New York is so big and so diverse that pretending to summarize it in 50 pages is somewhat naive. Nevertheless, I will try to give you a general idea of the things to do and see in this city.

Washington DC

Washington DC is the capital of the United States of America since the late 18th century. Its historical monuments, its government buildings and its museums attract millions of visitors each year.

Chicago

Welcome to Chicago, America's third largest city and one of its best tourist destinations! As you can see from the photo, Chicago's skyline is quite impressive. Indeed, the city is famous for its architecture.

Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania)

Pittsburgh isn't just a product of steel mills whose capitalist owners sunbathed in the perspiration of their workers; it has a softer side where opera, dance and theater play their role.

Indianapolis (Indiana)

With its numerous monuments, fountains, museums, excellent shops, luxury hotels, its famous speedways, and its White River State Park, Indianapolis is endearing and refreshingly accessible.

Atlantic City

Atlantic City is a resort town located in South Jersey, New Jersey, USA. The town is famous for its gambling casinos, its boardwalk and its beach.

Hilton Head Island (South Carolina)

See much of the island and some of Bluffton, a small town close to the island. You’ll also get an introduction to Savannah and the beautiful city of Charleston which is located about a two hour drive north of the island.

Southwest Florida

A tour of Southwest Florida. Here you’ll see some of what Naples, Marco Island, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, and Sarasota have to offer.

Saint Agustine (Florida)

Grand Teton National Park (Wyoming)

Welcome to Grand Teton National Park. Located in North East Wyoming, The Grand Tetons are a rugged, wild landscape that have both the towering, scenic mountain range, as well as an abundance of wildlife.

Sedona (Arizona)

Sedona is renowned for its beautiful Red Rocks that seem to change color and hue each time you glance their way, and its mystical Vortexes where the soul and energy flows flourish.

Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona)
