30/32.- Port Antonio, downtown, guest house

Menu

In this picture you can see one of the "cheap" hotels in the Titchfield Peninsula. Rooms are not extraordinary, but the staff is.

It is not possible to get bored in Port Antonio, there is one activity for everyone if you like hiking, Port Antonio is also for you. You can go to the White Valley, with its butterflies, to Fox Cave, to Dry River Falls, the Corn Puss Gap Rail and the trail to Nany Town. Ask the local tourist office for more info on the tours available. You should contact a guide. It is not recommended to hike alone. Guides will also make your experience more memorable, because they know the local flora and fauna better than anyone.

If you have more days, you should not miss the Blue Mountains, the "hikers paradise". A hike there is something you will never forget. If you prefer, you can take a Blue Mountain bicycle tour, a ride into the Blue Mountains by coach and then an 18 mile ride down.
