1/22.- Welcome to Uxmal!

Uxmal, in the state of Yucatan, is one of the most wonderful Mayan ruins that one can visit in Mexico. The archeological site is located 50 miles south of the city of Merida.

Although the site has its origins more than 2500 years ago, most of its constructions were built from the 7th through the 12th centuries AD. Its well preserved architecture deserved a UNESCO World Heritage site.

On the following pages I will give you a sneak preview of the ruins in Uxmal, along with some historical information and useful tourist tips.
