10/30.- Madurai, Sree Meenakshi Temple

If you enter through the Temple's Eastern Gateway, the first hall you will see is the Ashta Shakthi Mandapam. Statues in this hall depict the life of Meenakashi before getting married, and tales of heroism of Lord Shiva.

Next to this hall is the Meenakshi Nayaka Mandapa.
