2/15.- Pondicherry, The Old Lighthouse

Pondicherry is well connected by road to Chennai (160 Km), Bangalore (320 Km) and Kerala. The drive from Chennai is one of the most beautiful in India. Pondicherry can also be reached by train from Chennai. Pondicherry has no tourist airport, but you can fly to Chennai, from where you can get by car or bus to Pondicherry.

One of the town's major attractions is the promenade by the sea. Along this avenue you will find several monuments, one of them is the lighthouse, in the picture.
