2/26.- Tiruchirappalli, the Rock Fort Temple

In the picture you have one of Tiruchirappalli's major toruist attractions the Rock Fort. This is said to be one of the oldest rocks in the world, with more than 3.800 million years.

The Rock Fort is a complex of three temples: one at the foot, another on the hill, and one at the top of the hill.

The Rock Fort also played a major role in Indian history. It was here that the British Empire laid its foundations in India.
