Petermann Island is a 1.6 Km long island that lies southwest of Hovgaard Island in the Whilhem Archipelago, just bellow Lemaire Channel. This island has beautiful surrounds all around. We went for a great walk with lots of snow and majestic views of Antarctica. Petermann is also home to Adelie Penguins and blue-eyed shags. There's also an abandoned Argentine Refugio hut to the south, a cross in memory of the British Antarctic Survey personnel who perished nearby.
