Walking from Estaçao das Docas to Presidente Vargas Avenue one of the first buildings you will see is the Companhia das Docas do Pará (in the picture). If you take one of the streets on the right hand side, you will get to the Central District (or Centro), with its many shops. The area is at its busiest on week days. On weekends the district is rather dull.
