The climate in Belem is tropical. Temperatures and humidity are high all year round. Tropical showers happen everyday. During the dry season the rain starts in the afternoon (during the rainy season, it might rain all day long).
The recommended clothing is a T-shirt, thin long trousers, and sandals. An umbrella or a light raincoat will be useful too. A cap, sunglasses and sun protection will also be necessary. When the sun shines, we need to protect ourselves. Another thing that we will need is a good insect lotion. It is advisable to ask your doctor or a tropical clinic before visiting the area. They will tell you if you need any vaccinations.
