The recommended length of stay in Tortuguero is two or three days. If you are staying in a nice lodge, you may prolong your stay some more days.
We will end our visit to Tortuguero on the Tortuguero canal, very close to the town of Limon. South of Limon there is another tourist destination in Costa Rica you should not miss, Puerto Viejo and Cahuita. You will find more info on these places on our site.
