Jamaica is famous everywhere for its reggae music, for its rum and for the rastas. There are more than 100,000 rastafarians in Jamaica. Rastafarianism is more than a fashion, it is a faith. Some of the rastafarians let their hair grow into dreadlocks, but some others don't. They all agree that Africa is where all black Jamaicans belong, and Africa is the place where one day they all will return. Most of the rastafarians think that ganja (marihuana) is a way to communicate with god, but some do not smoke at all.
Rastafarians think you have to respect others to live a happy life. They think that the current situation will some day change. The day Babylon ends, all the peoples of the world will live in peace.
Although the rest of the world associates rastafarianism with Bob Marley and reggae music, this is a very old cult which has many commonalties with buddhism. Respect man!
