From my book "A Visit to Reality": "The land in Cuba has texture: hills, valleys, mountains. Soaring royal palms grow everywhere and the sky is expansive. The earth in the province is many shades of red and sandy in other parts. This allows for the cultivation of rice, tobacco, vegetables, fruit, coffee and the raising of cattle.
