Sedona is seductive, especially late afternoon when a golden hue settles over it. I wonder if the Sinagua also enjoyed the same shadows and hues? This area was only developed after the creation of the Territory of Arizona in 1863. Slowly people trickled in along the Verde Valley and by 1902 Sedona was named after the name of the local postmaster’s wife. Pretty name.
