This striding lion tile sculpture stands in the Mesopotamian Gallery. It's from the Processional Way leading to the Ishtar Gate of ancient Babylon. (The Pergamun Museum in Berlin has a full- scale reconstruction of the Ishtar Gate.) Other interesting items in this gallery include collections of tools, votive figures, and clay tablets with cuneiform inscriptions from ancient Mesopotamia (now Iraq).
