The Round City was originally built on an islet in Taiye Lake in the time of the Jin Dynasty. A circular wall surrounds a courtyard with ancient trees, halls and pavilions. Two of the points of interest in this place are the jade Buddha statue and the jade jar from the Yuan Dynasty. The place was destroyed in the 1900 war, and was reconstructed after the founding of the People's Republic of China.
This is rather a small place, which will take you almost no time to visit. I recommend taking a quick stroll in its courtyard after visiting Beihai Park.
Now I will take you to one of the streets in the center where you can taste the famous Beijing Snacks.
