Jaisalmer is a town that attracts many tourists, but, unlike other towns in Rajasthan, its people are friendly and very kind to foreigners.
Although Jaisalmer Fort is a reason enough to visit this town, most tourists come here to do a safari to the Thar Desert. The camel rides can be booked before getting to Jaisalmer, or in any hotel or travel agency in the town.
