Chaweng Beach is the main tourist beach in Ko Samui. It is here that the first hotels where built in the island a few decades ago. Nowadays this is the busiest beach, but the area still preserves its beauty.
In Chaweng Beach there is a mix of luxury resorts and backpacker guesthouses. Parallel to the beach runs a commercial street, with restaurants, bars and plenty of shops. Chaweng has a vivid nightlife, with bars, pubs, clubs and girl-bars.
Chaweng is recommended for romantic couples, families with kids and party lovers.
