19/35.- Avignon, Eglise Saint Pierre

Menu

Thousands of young people come to the city each July to attend the Festival. They sleep in campsites, in guesthouses; even some schools offer them accommodation during the Festival. You better book in advance if you plan to come during the Festival, because most of the hotel rooms are sold out months in advance.

In this photo you see the Saint-Pierre church, one of the most beautiful churches in Avignon. The impressive facade was built at the beginning of the 16th century. A few years later, in 1551, the wooden doors were added.
