Right across the street is the Vernescu house, another mansion now a restaurant and casino complex while nearby is also a park (the former picture was taken from the park), a spot of green on Calea Victoriei's asphalt look. A statue of Nichita Stanescu, a Romanian modern poet sits in the middle of the park and there are also benches and stray dogs to consider.
