Mesara Plain is Crete largest cultivated plain , 50km in length and 7 in width. The main products of Mesara are cereals, olives, and fruits. Cultivation goes year-round in addition to hothouses used in increasing productivity.The picture is taken from the upper west courtyard looking toward Mesara plain and the Asterousia mounting range.
