Next to the church and the house of singer Nikos Xilouris, in Agios Georgios Square we can see the men sitting outside a taverna for a local gossip over a glass of raki. The men of the village fought courageously the German occupation in the second World War. For kidnapping the German general Krieppe the village paid with the lives of all men who were rounded up and shot to death.
