The city of Leuven (in French, Louvain) is known for its University but also for its beer, as the famous Belgian lager Stella Artois, is brewn here.
The town hall, built in the 15th century, is richly decorated with sculptures and pinnacles on the outside, but the inside contains a wealth of works of art as well.
