Today, Nieuwpoort on the Yser estuary has become a popular seaside resort with a pretty marina a littke further inland. On the beach, rows of wooden cabins can be rented by holidaying families to shelter in bad weather, but also to change into their bathing apparel and keep the children's toys.
This is only the temporary end of our visit to Flanders. In due course, we shall be visiting many other towns and sites, but even though Belgium is a small country, it takes time and travel to visit and photograph all the interesting sights.
