We are in front of the "Cartuja", a Carthusian Monastery founded in 1519. The church was built in the XVII century.
Some interesting day trips from Granda are: the Sacromonte, with its caves with Flamenco "Tablaos"; Las Alpujaras, with its Northafricans architecture; Fuentevaqueros; where Federico Garcia Lorca was born and Guadix, with its wonderful Cathedral.
