The island gives the visitor a feeling of space and freedom, between the immensity of the sky and the sea. But the inhabitants of the island tend to build and inhabit small houses, on which the wind has little grip. These houses are built in the Breton style, with a fireplace and a chimney at each extremity, and painted in white and blue.
