Ponta da Piedade itself is home to a lighthouse, a small restaurant-café, and a number of souvenir shops selling Portuguese artifacts – Barcelos roosters, but also embroidered tablecloths, model chimneys (more about which later) and azulejos, in addition to the usual horrors peddled by souvenir shops all over the world – sunglasses, baseball caps, T-shirts and plastic binoculars made in Taiwan.
