As pointed out earlier, Algarve has turned into a builders’ and estate agents’ paradise, much at the expense of the coasts’ picturesqueness and peacefulness; but I imagine that plenty of people are happy to own an apartment looking out on the sea with a southward-looking terrace where they can sit in the sun all day when it is not too hot.
