The carnival in Sitges lasts one week. It starts on Fat Thursday with the arrival of the King Carnestoltes, and it ends on Ash Wednesday, with the burial of the Sardine.
The day with more visitors usually is Saturday, when the streets of Sitges and its main beach are taken by enthusiastic party-goers dressed up in fancy costumes. The Carnival's main events, the parades, take place on Sunday and Tuesday.
