We are now in the "Via Imperi Romà" (Roman Empire Road). Not far from the Via Aureliana or Via Maxima six Km from Tarragona, there’s the Roman monument known as the "Torre dels Escipions". This tower is a funeral monument dedicated to two famous Roman Generals. During the Roman Empire the funeral monuments were built in the outskirts of the cities, by one main road.
