These markets are very popular in Catalonia.
Tarragona’s population almost doubled in the middle of the 20th century. The traditional industrial center in the region used to be Reus (a city not far from here), but since the 1950’s many industries chose Tarragona. Many people from the South of Spain came here to work in these factories.
