In the photo you can see the boat we took to get to the Western Bank. In the background you can see the Nile cruisers. Unfortunately the number of tourists has decreased in the last decade, and some of the big boats currently do not sail. Especially Americans are afraid to come to an Islamic country. The tense relationship between Israel and Egypt does not make things better either.
As you can see not many tourists use this ferry to cross the Nile. Most of them take a falluca or a tourist boat. If you want to get on one of these ferries, you have to know that women sit at the front, and men at the back.
