The first Nubian houses are a few yards from here, but the Nubian village is several miles long. The best way to get there is by taxi. You can also rent a camel or a donkey if you want. The pick up you see in the photo is for locals only. I tried to get in one of them, but the police does not allow it.
Next to the big tree you can see some colorful houses. They are typical Nubian houses. We will now take a closer look at some of these houses.
