Above the courtyard you can see some of the students' rooms. To get there you have to walk up a staircase. There are more rooms along a corridor next to the courtyard gate.

The student's rooms are very basic cells. They were used only to pray and sleep. There are two kinds of rooms, the ones with views to the patio --supposedly for the rich students--, and the one with no windows.

This Coranic School was the biggest in the region, with capacity for almost 1,000 students.
