Next to the huge El-Hdim public square is a traditional market that deserves a visit. Note that this is an area off the beaten path, and it may be unsafe. Here you will find many stalls selling vegetables and fruits. If you feel thirsty, you will also find fresh fruit juices -- the orange one was my favorite --. Some stalls also sell grilled meat. Just in front of the market lies a taxi stop. There you can take Grand and Petit taxis. Petit taxis will take up to three passengers. Grand Taxis take up to six people. But you may not need any public transport, the city of Meknes is small enough to be visited on foot.
