We are now in a taxi on the road from Saqqara to Gizah. You can see on our left an oasis and on our right the desert. Without the Nile the trees in the oasis would not exist. Most probably Egypt itself wouldn't exist without this river.
Taking a taxi in Cairo is an experience you will remember for a long time. Taxi drivers are usually nice, but they will always charge you extra if you are a tourist. There is nothing you can do, just try not paying too much. Don't be surprised if the taxi admits someone else during your ride. It is normal.
