This was a really unique experience. When we got to the scuba dive site, we saw the fins of several dolphins, as you can imagine everyone on board went crazy. Although dolphins can be seen often in these waters, my diving guide told me the last time he had dived with dolphins was more than a month ago. It was a lucky strike.
Some of the snorkelers that came on our boat where the first to go into the water, but soon the dolphins dived to the deeper waters where the snorkelers could not reach. Meanwhile, we put the diving gear on as quick as we could, and jumped into the water. And down there we could dive among eight or nine wild dolphins for several minutes. I have to admit that this experience impressed me very much: it was the first time I could dive with dolphins. They where so close that I could almost touch them. They played for a while, and then they left. I don't know if they are as intelligent as scientifics say, but it seemed they enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
