Menu

This is another bad boy of the coral reefs: the Scorpionfish. This fish belongs to the scorpaena genus. They use the camuflage to be almost invisible to preys and enemies. Their skin resembles algae and sponges.

Scoprion fishes are among the most dangerous and poisonous fishes in te Red Sea. They have several dorsal spines with venom glands. In general, Scorpionfish stings are not as painful as lionfish, although there are a few species whose venom can induce almost the same degree of suffering.
