In the Square of Piedade you will also find other remarkable buildings, among them the old Palace of the Senate of the Province of Bahia, the Geographical and Historical Bahian Institute, and the Gabinete Português de Leitura.
In the center of the square there is a spring fountain. In the square flower bed you will find iguanas.
