The hotel “Kasakhstan” is the highest building in Almaty. It had been built in 1977 and is 102m high. It’s a good orienteer for tourists, as the 26-storeyed hotel can be seen from different points of the city. The elegant crown seems to soar over the ground, especially in the night, when every sector is lighted with the ruby light. There is a restaurant on the 26th floor with the observation point.
