Next to the Buddhist Temple is the Fragrant Buddha Tower. This octagonal tower holds an impressive Bodhisattva statue and Chinese murals and inscriptions. From the tower there is a wonderful view of the Western Hills and the lake.
Close to the Fragrant Buddha Tower is the Revolving Archive, with its two archive towers that turned on their base in order that the emperor would not have to walk.
West of the Fragrant Buddha Tower is the Pavilion of Precious Clouds, a bronze pavilion in the center of the Five Square Tower buildings.
If you still have some time left, I recommend strolling around the lake and enjoying the landscape sights. Try to visit as many bridges as you can. All of them are unique. The most famous is the Jade Belt Bridge.
