One of the biggest tourist traps in Khajuraho is the poor school trick. Local boys take foreigners to a school in the old town of Khajuraho, where tourists can see the poor conditions of the classroom, with no tables and almost no light. You have to know that donations do not go to the school, but to the fake teacher who showed you around and to the boy who took you here. If you want to donate money once in India, look for an international NGO.
