On the pebbled beaches of Amed you will find many more traditional outrigger boats than tourists, as you can see in the picture.
Things to do in Amed are scuba diving, snorkeling, having a massage, and enjoying the sea food restaurants at the beach in the evening.
One of the most famous diving sites in Bali, the wreck of the USAT Liberty, is about 30 Km North of Amed, at Tulamben. If you don't dive, you can go to Lipah Beach, where there is a small Japanese wreck accessible for snorklers.
