6/46.- Alsace, Strasbourg, cathedral's façade

67 statues of the cathedral's façade were saved from destruction. In front of the cathedral there is a market place, where during the advent season there is a Christmas market -- another habit inherited from the Germans. In the stalls, visitors can taste mulled wine, hot food, and Alsatian cakes and pretzels, and buy Christmas decorations as well as local products.
