In this photo you see a nice view of the Rhone river form one of the bridges that link Part Dieu district with the peninsula. It is absolutely recommended to take one of the river boats. There are two kind of tours: the shorter ones that let you visit the city from the Rhône and the Saône rivers; and the longer cruisers, that take you down the Rhône to Givors or Vienne, or up the river to Trévoux.
On the Northern face of the Chamber of Commerce there is a sculpture by Puvis de Chavannnes that symbolizes the two rivers qualities: the Saône graceful and feminine, and the Rhône strong and masculine.
