Lyon's local cuisine would not be what it is without this market. Vegetables, fruits, fish, sea food and -of course- cheese fill the stands of this covered market. Something that called my attention is that every stand seems to be recommended by Paul Bocuse himself. Everywhere you see the signs that read "Paul Bocuse recommends this shop" with a photo of this world famous chef.
Someone said that it is not possible to rule a country with more than one thousand sorts of cheese. I do not know if the first part of this statement is true, but I can assure there are more than one thousand different French cheeses. If you do not believe me, you have to come to this market!
