We are now on ‘Ponte Dell’Accademia’. The 'Galleria dell’Accademia' is on our right and the San Marco Square on our left. In the middle of the photo you can see the 'Chiesa della Salute'.
In 1934 a temporary bridge was built to replace the old ‘Ponte Dell’Accademia’ (Accademy Bridge). The first project was a stone bridge, like the 'Ponte degli Scalzi', but finally they couldn’t find the right kind of bridge to build, and the temporary bridge has stayed here since then.
