At the end of the Roman ‘Decumano’ (nowadays 'Corso Porta Borsari'), sits the Roman city Gate, the 'Porta Borsari'. This is one of the city’s better preserved Roman Monuments. It dates from the first century. The decoration of this gate inspired many Renissance masters (Sanmichele among others).
